However, much to Heihachi's dismay, his worst fears were realized upon entering the temple, hints of the Devil Gene's signature could be felt amongst the unnatural blue flames lit up at the ground floor, indicating that whatever answers he was hoping to find was already long lost to the Devil Gene's infection. If Heihachi's main obstacle in life was the existence of the Devil Gene (a curse that could easily destroy the world if kept unchecked), then surely Ganesha would just as easily offer the vital wisdom needed to remove this obstacle from the world. It was once believed that this temple was one of many homes belonging to the revered deity Ganesha, the Remover of Obstacles and the Lord of Learning. If a physical solution to destroy Kazuya (and therefore the Devil Gene) was not possible, perhaps a spiritual solution could work instead? Believing Kazuya's control of the Devil Gene to be the greater threat over Jin, Heihachi tirelessly sought to discover a workable solution to contain the threat that the Devil Gene's power granted to Kazuya.
